This month’s wallpaper is about “Our Town” which talks about CJD(Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease). I choose the episode just for CJD which important to all South Korean. South Korea, where I live, is on war – yes, I am serious. Goverment vs People. This Korean goverment made a deal only for US beef stockbreeder’s profits, not for people.
Why they did that? The only things I know are these:

1. Four months ago, the president Lee should had visit the president Bush, and Lee needs something good for Bush, and the day before Lee visit US, the beef deal was suddenly made.
2. The Lee’s Goverment put on ads in newspaper extensively, and the ads tells “It’s the same and safty beef as US people eat.” Wow, the goverment use taxes for foeriegn commercial merchant. I put aside this thing right now. Because the beef is not same, and not safe. Every Korean knows that the beef which goes to Korea is from over 30 months old cows and includes internal organs.
The Lee’s goverement lied: That makes furious Korean people. So they stand on the street with candles. At first, the Lee’s goverment said the protest is illegal because they stand on the car way not sidewalk. (I’m not joking) And then the Lee’s goverement suppress with violence(water cannon, shield.. etc) on midnight when the number of people get reduced. And next day the Lee’s goverment said the violent protestors should be punished, and there is no more agreement whatever ‘red communist’ people say – JUST EAT.
That’s why people now call resignation. Not even Korean people, no one wants a do-nothing goverement which works only for foriegn merchants. And the answer of Lee’s goverment is the voilent to people from child to oldman. (And the Lee’s goverement try to seizure all press to appoint their men. The prosecution order the summon of the presidnet of a public management broadcast system.)
Please, do not suprise for below picture. This photo gave a terrible shock to me.

How can I understand the Lee’s goverment? The protest is no more only for US beef, it’s all about safty and living of my own. Armed policemen attack the baby presumed walking along the sidewalk. Now who can be safe?
Please, everybody who visit this site from foriegn country, know this. Now korean people fight for the future with a dictatorship.

요즘들어 지금껏 정치에 관심이 없었다는게 정말 부끄럽습니다. -_-
비록 먹고살기 바뻐 촛불시위한번 참가하지 못했지만, 마음만은 그들을 응원하고 있는데, 촛불시위를 비판하는 이들이 ‘침묵하는 다수’라는 식의 표현을 사용하는 것을 들으면 뭔가 울컥합니다.
오늘 ‘마이클 무어’감독의 ‘식코’를 극장에서 혼자(상영관에 나홀로)보고 왔는데, ‘볼링 포 콜럼바인’이나 ‘화씨 9/11’ 때와는 달리 남의 나라 얘기 같지가 않더군요.
영화 예매 체크하는 중인데 플래닛 테러, 분명히 7월 3일 개봉인 게 토요일만 해도 극장이 확 줄어드네요. -_-; 금요일 밤/ 토요일 오전이나 저녁 했으면 하는데 시간이 어떠신가요? 어느 동네가 편한지 알려 주세요- 혹시 모르니까 haebarak@hotmail.com (msn)

castortroy/ 사회와 정의, 자기책무에 대해서 인식하고 있으면 충분히 정치라고 생각해요. ‘식코’는 국내 의료계현실을 알고 있다면… 눈에 훤히 보이는 단점과 과장에도 불구하고 그 진실성에 가슴이 저려요.

This whole thing is the ‘re-fined’ version of ‘Our Town’. The only difference? It is real now. how horrible.

In Spain we suffered a severe problem because of the KJ disease, although I must reckon the Government stood right and asked for european help. Anyway, hundreds of animals had to be sacrificed, several people died, and it was sad for everyone. At the UK many of the responsibles to have fed the cattle with God-knows-what are still free of any charges.
So stand up.

Ichigonodo/ Thanks for your posting. We Korean still have a hard time – the president Lee revealed his real dark manner again. The number of protestors got reduced a liitle bit, and Lee decided to shut down the protest with violence. But we try to protest in right way.
